Tempest Rose owns and runs House of Burlesque, the UK's top burlesque production house and is its sole driving force and creative director. HOB first shot to critical acclaim in 2010 with 'Circus Burlesque', which sold out the prestigious Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh and won Edinburgh Spotlight's Pick of the Fringe Award. The show went on to perform twice at The Theatre Royal in Windsor after beginning life in 2009 at Islington's Kings Head Theatre.
Her next production 'House of Burlesque...Shipwrecked' toured UK theatres in 2012/13 in association with The Booking Office after a successful run at the legendary Madame Jojo's in Soho. Tempest Rose also runs 'Burlesque Idol UK' - the UK's best burlesque newcomer competition in its 8th year which was launched at Madame Jojo's where Tempest Rose also ran highly successful residencies with House of Burlesque...Banged Up, and The Love Show. Due to overwhelming success at the venue, she proudly launched a weekly Saturday show - The House of Burlesque Speakeasy which now runs at Sway in Covent Garden. Burlesque Idol was resident at the iconic Hippodrome Casino theatre in Leicester Square for 3 years and and toured the UK in 2016, with sister shows in Australia and the USA run by Lola LaBelle.
House of Burlesque are in the 6th year of a residency at the incredible London Wonderground - a 1920s paradiso spiegeltent, selling out the 605 capacity, and receiving high critical praise for bringing the representation of burlesque to a new level and for returning it to its modern roots as a celebration of female empowerment. In 2017 she once again pushed the boundaries of this incredible art form with her latest production - House of Burlesque 2.0. A contemporary burlesque production , bringing burlesque into the modern world featuring multi-screen projections and jaw-dropping tech which debuted at Vaults Festival then ran at Underbelly on London's South Bank and Halifax Piece Hall.
Tempest has run the LGBT stage at Erotica, run HOB at The Jazz Cafe, toured the company around the UK and to India, and was deeply honoured to be part of the production team that organised the opening presentation of London Fashion Week SS16 for Dame Zandra Rhodes, for her return to LFW after 10 years.
