A pioneer of the UK industry, Tempest Rose entered the world of burlesque in London in 2007 when the scene was only just beginning to poke a stiletto heel out of the underground into the mainstream. Coming to burlesque from a career and training in professional acting and dance Tempest has a unique understanding of burlesque as a theatrical artform, an exquisite grace of movement and a stage presence that could ignite dynamite.

UK Burlesque royalty, Tempest has headlined the UK's most celebrated cabaret stages  - Cafe de Paris, The Hippodrome, Underbelly,  Christmas in Leicester Square and Madame Jojo's. She has toured No1 theatres across the UK such as Newcastle Theatre Royal, Southampton Mayflower, Theatre Royal Glasgow and New Theatre Cardiff, and headlined in The Bridge, The Albany and the Charing Cross Theatre, London. Her career has taken her overseas to perform in India , Rome, Amsterdam, Paris and Milan all the way to The Slipper Room in New York and for The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend in Las Vegas - two of the birth places of the modern burlesque revival.

Tempest has appeared as a burlesque artist and expert on MTV, BBC3, BBC Ideas, ITV2, Channel 4, London Live as well as been featured on BBC1's Heir Hunters taking about the history of The Windmill in Soho and fandancing. She has been interviewed and featured in all major press and has performed for the Royal Navy, Google UK and the Courtauld Gallery. An expert on the artform she believes has revolutionary potential she has taught burlesque at the V&A, Kingston University and to thousands of women worldwide.
